You know what's really interesting? I attended my yoga class this morning working with very little sleep (as usual). For the entire class time I was stretching, I swear my muscles were going to give out. Hey, I don't use my muscles as much as some think I do. But anyway, after the class was over and I stepped out of the room, suddenly I just felt...better. Physically, I mean. It was rather interesting...
Anyway, so remember how in Fall term I said that all my work wasn't going to bombard me until a month later? Yeah, winter term is more intense: this is the week of discourse. I've been up to my neck reading nothing but textbooks, waking up early to go to work AND frustratingly going through at least 20 different ideas for a research paper topic about something I'm "Passionate" about, yet it stands at an arguable point.
...it's harder than you think, trust me.
So it seems to me like this week has just gone by reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally slowly due to the fact that I've been enduring longer days and that I've been mentally/emotionally stressed the past few days. It's not really the best combination.
But a few things have saved me...
1) Hanging out with friends/enjoyable people
2) Costume theatre practice
3) Oedipus
I know 3) may seem a little weird, but somehow it was just too funny for me to pass up. HEY. Tragedies in our time and place are more funny than the comedies (well, the old tragedies, anyway)
And my theatre experience this term is something to behold: I'm taking stitching for my theatre practice, stage lighting as one of my classes, and possibly I'll be working for the scene shop and the wardrobe crew. POSSIBLY. Nothing's set in stone (except for those first two)
..Ah. yes. Anyway, back to the Hot Chocolate of the week:
--
Zoey's Cafe
199 East Main St.
Ashland, Oregon
This is more of the shop you'd want to go for ice cream in the summer (such choices!) but their Hot chocolate is still something to behold. It has a dark flavoring to it and very sweet to the taste. Not as rich as the Badass Coffee Co. had, but it still satisfies the taste buds for you sweet-go-getters.
It's about $2.25 (+ tax) for a regular mug-size which, in my opinion, is a little spendy, but if you have that crave by the gods, buy it from there. If you're in Downtown Ashland, at least (or until I find another just as successful company).
I give it a 4 out of 5.

Okay, well, I hope all of you reading this are having a great day yourself and I'll catch you around next Friday!
