Transitions

Does anyone remember, while I was working at Burgerville, me saying that my job could always be worse?
Well, Wendy's now qualifies as that worse fraction.

Here's how the system work: There are at least six different positions: Grill, Fryers, Sandwiches, Front Box, Back Box, and Cashier. Certain people are scheduled to work certain positions and can't really do much else until an Operation's Leader/Manager tells you otherwise.

This leads to extreme difficulty for me since the Theatre Department encourages students to be able to think for themselves ahead of time and to fend for themselves. It was essentially the same principle at Burgerville as well. So now it's hard for me to just stay making sandwiches when clearly I could be doing something else like cleaning or getting ahead of my closing activities.
Not to mention that while I've been there for 3 weeks already, many of my co-workers continue to treat me as if I've never actually done fast food before. Rather insulting.

Oh, and working until 1 am three days straight also doesn't help my academic position. I am now behind on most of my classes...except Stagecraft.
ACTUALLY, no. I'm sort of behind on that too; I fail at tying more than one knot. I'm lame.

Sorry, it's been a hectic week and, rather, not a very pleasant one at that. So I apologize for the rant. I know that's not what you guys want to read about.

BUT the next two evenings make up for it since Mom and Bill are in town and our activities include seeing OSF's "Servant of Two Masters", which is a hilarious, well done performance. Then tomorrow evening there are some Halloween festivities going on at a friend's house.

So I'm looking forward to at least these next two days, before I go back to homework and closing shifts again. Ahh...
