1/14: Wow

It's the beginning of 2011 and already I have become placate with my blog updates. I'm terribly sorry, all.

I suppose this is what happens when my schedules just goes all over the place.

In all honesty, I'm not taking that many classes this term due to finances: Costume Design II, Costume Construction II and Chinese 202, with my theatre practice being Wardrobe Supervisor for SOU's Alice Through the Looking Glass. However, with the open schedule it leaves for more room to plan ahead.

As of late I have been taking up art commissions (somebody actually asked for one, I am talented again!), planning for the future and sending out resumes and applications for summer internships. So far my luck has been in the Pacific Northwest with housing and payment, and though I do realize not all internships require a stipend, I don't think I'd fair well in pitching a tent while working for a theatre company outside of my own state.

So, for the most part, I am still looking hard for potential work places in the near future.

Despite the lucid scheduling in my life, I feel somewhat brain dead. At least around people. I've started to become more and more socially awkward that perhaps a life of solitude is really the way to go. In the woods? With my own stage show for the children of a thriving lumber town?

...We'll see. But for the time being, I have to increase my intelligence somehow. Maybe by taking up classic literature. I'm not really sure yet.
