1/21: Exploratory Week

Well, not entirely, but I felt as though this week's title could use a little more flare.

But in all honesty, this week has been a little bit more of an exploring new talents sort of week. The nice thing about not having enough brain space for people is that it leaves more room for projects I always needed to get done (i.e. art, costume constructions, crafts, etc.). There is only so much time before I call in my wardrobians to the first tech run for Alice Through the Looking Glass.

So many of you might be asking: Hannah! What does a Wardrobe Supervisor do?!

Well, it's simple. I make sure everybody is not naked. Ta-da!
No, there's more to it than that. It's a wardrobian's job to coordinate quick changes, prepare the costumes to appear according to the Designer's original intent (that means no lint, no wrinkles; it must be perfect like the movies!), aid the actors with their costumes and come up with quick solutions to quick problems (ripped seams, crushed hats, etc.) And so, why does this position seem to be overpowering?

Well there are six actors and thirty-six roles.

...I think that's all I really need to say about it.

In other news, classes are going well, so I've also had enough head space for academics, regardless of my assignments only being drawing, construction, and Chinese grammar.

Honestly, I can't explain my reasoning for not being as sociable as before. Perhaps because the house I reside in is infamous for hosting over ten people within a given weekend. Or maybe because I'm sharing a room like I'm back in the dorms...?

I cannot tell, but for now I only have to take it one step at a time.

I hope y'all are having a fantastic week and have plans for an even brighter tomorrow! Later~
