Of cake, sandwiches, and books

So for those of you that may wonder...

October 18th was pretty much a relaxing day, minus the fact that my roommate and friends were conspiring something for the end of the day. I think I drove them off the edge with guessing what the surprise was. But essentially the day ended with a collaborated gift of a popcorn popper and a cake with twenty "magic" candles. Which was nice and all...minus the fact that candles + fire are prohibited in the dorm rooms and we could have gotten kicked out of our dorms because of it.

...SHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

ANYWAY.
All in all, it was a very nice birthday. Thank you all for your gratitude and for the cards and for the love!

So my job seems to be going pretty well. Takes me two days to get sandwiches down and apparently I'm one of the fastest cleaners they've had in a while. Which is a good thing 'cause now I start closing the place (essentially, working until 1 am in the morning). I'm only scheduled for three days to do that, however, so I don't completely kill myself.

And classes still seem to be doing okay. I suppose with a job and other *personal* projects, it's a little hectic catching up with my homework.
My "Book Club" just recently finished Windows on the World and we are moving on to the book Saturday by Ian McEwan. Haven't really started on it yet...thank goodness the weekend is still ahead.

Still, with classes/jobs/theatre business, it depresses me slightly that I hardly get the chance to participate in clubs. Oh well, such is the life of a working student.

To finish my day, I think I will continue with homework and personal drawing projects. So I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and I will see you next time! Later~
